The Laker's Hockey Club is very excited to announce Andrew (Drew) Projansky is our new Hockey Director. Drew brings decades of hockey experience to the Lakers as a player, coach and hockey director. For the past 28 years, Drew has been involved with coaching high school organizations such as Glenbrook South, Stevenson, Niles West, Evanston, Lake Zurich, amongst others. His experience as a hockey director started 15 years ago with high schools such as Fremd, Highland Park, amongst others. Drew currently is an assistant coach for the Chicago Young American Midget Major AAA team, but don't worry we have already made sure he will have adequate time to devote to the Lakers.
Drew brings a fresh look and approach to our hockey club. He is a firm believer in high school hockey as an overall organization, using hockey to promote life skills in players, skill development, team building, volunteering, and getting back to the basics of having fun playing hockey. He believes that rules and a code of conduct are in place for a reason and need to be adhered to. Drew has done a lot of research on the Lakers and has already made several recommendations on improvement.
