Recycling Fundraiser
Lakers Hockey Club is collecting unwanted cell phones as a way to raise funds, and we are asking for your help. This fund raising project is different from most other fund raising events because there is nothing for you to buy or sell. We are asking for your help, not your money!
Go through your junk drawers and donate all the unwanted cell phones sitting there. Ask your family and friends for their unwanted cell phones as well. If you know of any businesses that provide cell phones to their employees, ask if they’d be willing to donate their old phones to us. One of the best things you can do is have collection boxes placed in businesses with high foot traffic. Whatever you can do to assist us in making this fundraising effort successful will be greatly appreciated.
Our collection starts on 2/1/2012 and ends on 3/1/2012. Bring your phones (working or not working) to practices or games and give to Ed or Jayne Garver, Paul Zegan, Mike Dagel or Ron Fleming.

The Lakers spring hockey season will begin late March/early April and continue through the first week of June. We will have approximately ten practices and ten games, five home and five away.
The league has announced there should be five or six teams participating and will focus on equitable competition and having fun. Depending on the interest, we could have a Varsity and a Jr. Varsity team.
Registration paperwork and fees are due no later than February 24, 2012 in order to fill rosters. Along with the registration paperwork, you will need to provide evidence of USA Hockey insurance.
Please make checks payable to Lakers Hockey Club. You can give your registration paperwork to Jayne Garver or mail to:
